Prompt 1: ink wash painting
Midjourney can create an image in the style of an ink painting by entering “ink wash painting”.
As an example, I would like to create an ink wash painting style image of a cat.
The version used this time is Midjourney V5.2.
Chinese ink wash painting
Chinese style images can be generated by including “Chinese” in the prompt.

Japanese ink wash painting
Japanese-style images can be generated by including “Japanese” in the prompt.

“ink wash painting” is primarily a traditional East Asian art form, and it cannot be said that this style of art is common in other regions or countries. Therefore, while these expressions are applicable when referring to works painted in the style of Suiboku-ga, it should be clearly stated that not each country has its own traditional “ink wash painting” style.
Prompt 2: Sumi-e
The term “Sumi-e” (ink painting) is sometimes used to refer to traditional Japanese ink painting.
